As the year kicks off, I find my senior year getting more and more interesting as the days go on. One thing that shocked me from the moment I walked into my classes on the first day of school were all the unfamiliar faces that I hadn’t seen in my previous years at LHS. Seeing unfamiliar faces is not always a bad thing because it gives you the opportunity to meet new people. So far it has been a smooth road, but as we get further into the year I’m starting to notice the more work given to us, but it is still manageable. At this time I stand as a full on senior. I am on pace to graduate, being I passed every class from my previous years up till now. Starting my senior year off fresh and not having to worry about making up classes puts me in a good position to graduate because I don’t have to stress out about any other classes except the ones I am taking right now. With this year being my last and final year, it’s finally time to start preparing my senior project for its finishing touches. I am working on getting everything set up so it can be published. An interesting thing to me about my senior project is getting to create a website that tells a little bit about myself. The thing I am looking forwards to the most is playing sports. I am one of LHS best athletes so I cannot wait to throw on the uniforms to represent our school and city. I hope to bring back some league titles and with it being my last year to make something happen for myself, the school, the city, and the team I am pretty confident I have it in myself to step my game up and reach for what I want. My goals for the future as being a cardinal is to keep receiving the MVP awards and first team all-league in both basketball and softball, I also hope to make it far in golf. A huge goal of mine is to receive the cardinal of the year award and I know I am capable of receiving it. But with everything being said, my main goal is to graduate and get my high school diploma.
Taking that first step onto the LHS campus was a little never wrecking until I seen all my friends and it eased up. After my first day as a freshman I knew I had this and it just has sailed through. Freshman year will be my most memorable and funnest year of them all. Sports have to do with a lot of this. I was a freshman on varsity for both basketball and softball and better yet I was the second baseman starter for softball. A huge accomplishment I will never forget and always will remember is winning valley for basketball. Not only was it great to experience and be a part of, but it just changed my whole perspective of high school since. As well as softball. Being the only freshman starter, to getting most valuable defensive player is something that is really hard to do and I'm proud to say I did it.
